Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

    May function as an intracellular leucine sensor that negatively regulates the TORC1 signaling pathway. May also regulate the insulin-receptor signaling pathway through activation of TORC2. This metabolic regulator may also play a role in protection against oxidative and genotoxic stresses. May prevent the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) through the alkylhydroperoxide reductase activity born by the N-terminal domain of the protein.

    2. Study found that Sestrins (1,2 and 3) can inhibit mTORC1 signaling in the absence of AMPK or TSC2. Surprisingly, when coexpressed with a GTP-bound constitutively active form of RagB (RagBQ99L), Sestrins potentiate mTORC1 signaling in the absence of amino acids. PMID: 25259925
    3. Suggest that inhibitory effect of ethanol on Sesn3 may play an important role in the development of ethanol-induced fatty liver. PMID: 24833709
    4. Concomitant ablation of Sesn2 and Sesn3 provokes hepatic mTORC1-S6K activation and insulin resistance even in the absence of nutritional overload and obesity. PMID: 22958918
