Confers resistance to soil-born pathogens (e.g. the root-penetrating fungus Fusarium oxysporum) by regulating membrane trafficking, specifically mediating ABCG36/PEN3 exit from the endoplasmic reticulum and subsequent relocalization at the host-pathogen interface of the plasma membrane.
