    Involved in the fatty acid synthesis (FAS II). Catalyzes the reduction of the carbon-carbon double bond of crotonyl-CoA to yield butyryl-CoA. In vitro it can also use hexenoyl-CoA and dodecenoyl-CoA as substrates.
