We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Regulatory subunit of the condensin complex, a complex required for conversion of interphase chromatin into mitotic-like condense chromosomes. The condensin complex probably introduces positive supercoils into relaxed DNA in the presence of type I topoisomerases and converts nicked DNA into positive knotted forms in the presence of type II topoisomerases. The condensin complex probably also plays a role during interphase.

Nucleus. Chromosome. Note=Nuclear throughout the cell cycle. During mitosis, most of the condensin complex is associated with the chromatin. At the onset of prophase, condensin associates with chromosome arms and to chromosome condensation. At anaphase, it is enriched at rDNA. Dissociation from chromosomes is observed in late telophase.
