Phosphatidylethanolamine is a dominant inner-leaflet phospholipid in cell membranes, where it plays a role in membrane function by structurally stabilizing membrane-anchored proteins, and participates in important cellular processes such as cell division, cell fusion, blood coagulation, and apoptosis.
