產品描述：

The cDNA fragment encoding 24-228aa of Mycobacterium tuberculosis immunogenic protein MPT64 was fused with an N-terminal 6xHis-tag and then expressed in the yeast cells. The product obtained is the recombinant full-length of mature Mycobacterium tuberculosis MPT64 protein. Its purity was determined using SDS-PAGE and reached up to 90%. Under the reducing conditions, the gel presented a molecular mass band of about 21-24 kDa. It also underwent the validation through the LC-MS/MS analysis. In-stock MPT64 proteins are offered now. This recombinant MPT64 protein may find uses in the specific antibody production or the studies of tuberculosis (TB) infection.

The level of expression of the MPT64 protein is high in patients with active TB. Both in sputum and serum exosomes of a TB infected patient can be detected the presence of MPT64. A special receptor, single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) aptamer, can specifically recognize MPT64 protein. MPT64 mainly promotes survival and persistence in the host cell. It deactivates the expression of apoptotic cytokines and plays a major role in the survival and virulence of the mycobacteria.
