May be involved in neuronal differentiation and development. When administered intracerebroventricularly, nociceptin induces hyperalgesia and decreases locomotor activity.; Blocks nociceptin action in pain transmission by inhibiting nociceptin-induced hyperalgesia and allodynia.; Has potent analgesic activity.
