    Catalyzes the release of fatty acids from lysophospholipids. At acidic pH the enzyme hydrolyzes all phospholipid substrates without metal ion. On the other hand, at alkaline pH the enzyme shows substrate specificity for phosphatidylcholine and lysophosphatidylcholine and requires Ca(2+), Fe(3+), or Al(3+) for the activity.
