  • 功能：
    Import receptor for peroxisomal-targeting signal one (PTS1). A receptor-cargo complex composed of PEX5, PEX7, a PTS1-containing protein and a PTS2-containing protein is targeted to peroxisomes during import. Necessary for the developmental elimination of obsolete peroxisome matrix proteins.

    5. The Arabidopsis pex5-1 mutant is specifically defective in PTS2 (but not PTS1) protein import into peroxisomes, probably because of reduced interaction with the PEX7 PTS2 receptor. PMID: 15548601
    6. A genetic screen for peroxisome defective mutants revealed a pex5 mutant that is sucrose dependent during germination and resistant to the inhibitory effects of IBA on root elongation. PMID: 11063705
