The APC/C complex controls several key steps in the cell cycle by mediating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of target proteins such as cyclins. The APC/C complex is required for the female gametophyte development and is involved in several aspect of development by controlling cell division and cell elongation. Involved in the control of endoreduplication.
