    The CSB-PA321224LA01BUA polyclonal antibody against prn was generated in rabbits through immunization with the recombinant Bordetella pertussis Pertactin autotransporter protein (632-910aa). The prn protein is an agglutinogen that binds to eukaryotic cells, facilitated by the R-G-D sequence, and is potentially involved in bacterial adhesion, contributing to the virulence of the organism. It is synthesized only in the presence of low Mg2+ concentration and may play a role in the development of whooping cough.

    The purified rabbit anti-Bordetella pertussis (strain Tohama I / ATCC BAA-589 / NCTC 13251) prn polyclonal antibody exhibited a 95% purity level following protein G purification. This non-conjugated IgG specifically reacts with the prn proteins of Bordetella pertussis origin and is suitable for detecting endogenous levels of prn protein, as tested in ELISA.
