    ftnA antibody is a rabbit polyclonal IgG specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 1-167 within an internal region of Helicobacter pylori ftnA. This ftnA antibody is purified by protein A/G. It is recommended for the detection of Helicobacter pylori ftnA protein by ELISA and WB applications.

    The ftnA protein mainly sequesters iron and protects the bacterial cell from the toxic effects of excess iron. It plays an important role in regulating iron homeostasis within the bacterial cell. ftnA has also been implicated in other bacterial functions, such as resistance to oxidative stress and protection against reactive oxygen species (ROS).
