Its downregulation promotes NPC cell proliferation and tumorigenicity by facilitating cell cycle progression. These results suggest that ZNF671 is a potential tumor suppressor which epigenetically silenced by promoter methylation in NPC. PMID: 29052525
    2. In particular, methylation levels of ITGA4, RERG, and ZNF671 could distinguish Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients from non-cancer nasopharyngeal epithelium (NNE) subjects. We identified the DNA methylation rates of previously unidentified NPC candidate genes. PMID: 28716111
