    Acts as a lipid phosphatase, removing the phosphate in the D3 position of the inositol ring from phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate.; Shows no phosphoinositide phosphatase activity.

These proteins are 5'-phosphatases. More recently, using a chimeric construct, we have shown that the catalytic domain of TPTE2 behaves as a 5'-phosphatase as well. PMID: 22896666
