    Component of a ribosome-associated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) translocon complex involved in multi-pass membrane protein transport into the ER membrane and biogenesis. May antagonize Nodal signaling and subsequent organization of axial structures during mesodermal patterning, via its interaction with NCLN/Nicalin.
