    CSGA antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a synthesized peptide between 99-112 amino acids from the Escherichia coli O157:H7 CSGA. It is purified by protein G affinity chromatography. This CSGA antibody can be used to detect the Escherichia coli O157:H7 CSGA protein in ELISA and WB applications.

    The CSGA protein in Escherichia coli O157:H7 is necessary for the assembly and secretion of curli fibers, which are extracellular amyloid fibers that play a role in biofilm formation and host cell adhesion and are important virulence factors in E. coli O157:H7.
