    Catalyzes the phosphorylation of D-glucose to D-glucose 6-phosphate using ADP as the phosphate donor. GDP and CDP can replace ADP, but with reduced efficiency.

    3. human ADPGK(ADP-dependent glucokinase) catalyses ADP-dependent phosphorylation of glucose in vitro, but despite its high expression in human tumour cell lines it appears not to make a quantifiable contribution to glycolysis under the conditions evaluated. PMID: 22219026
